There's one thing I jus can't seem to wrap me brain around lately, and it's probably because it's happening to me more and more: Why is it that the nice person is always shat on, while the utter douche bags and fecktards move higher up the social ladder?

Basically put, I had been finding myself getting screwed over less since a particular incident notified my boss' boss of her ignorance towards my scheduling... that is until just this last week.

Something had happened at the store last week that resulted in my co-worker who covers my days off being moved to day shift. Now, this wouldn't be so bad, but my boss had left the schedule blank until >24hrs before the schedule was to end (Basically putting up the new one on the Saturday morning OF the Saturday at the end of the previous one).

That was kind of a piss off, but I figured: "Well, I get Sundays and Mondays off usually, and there's nothing wrong ATM so I should be fine."

I came into work on Saturday, my 5th day in a row and end of my week, to see that I had only 1 day off inbetween 2 stints, one of 7days, the other of 5. The best part about all this is the little note attached to my part of the schedule: "Dan, please have patience with your days off."

Needless to say, I finally snapped.

When I saw my boss next, she was half an hour late for her shift, of which no one else was supposed to come in to relieve me. Here I get bitched out all the time fer bein late, and yet our "Fearless Leader" sets a prime example of it herself. I looked at her and layed it all down on the table, and I must admit it felt pretty good. All she could do was give short replies of "yes" or "I'll be sure to do that." I think the best part was when she told me not to make plans without a schedule being up... considering how she left it so late, I basically told her that without adequate time, or notification I don't have to accept any shift she throws at me.

Needless to say though, I phoned her boss anyway and filled him in on the situation. Especially when her truck broke down, and I had to stay for 2 extra hours to wait for the next person to come in. I love how he said in a stern voice: "Don't worry, I'll deal with this Dan. Thank you"

I hate to be the one to stir the pot, but if I let it slide I'd just be gettin shat on again and again... I can't wait to see how this'll play out around xmas time, seeing as I have a week and a half of vacation time that needs to be spent before then too XD
